The celebrities have been subjected to several attacks, both verbal and on social media, following the declaration of their intentto hold a vigil against the energy crisis.
While a former spokesperson of the National Hajj CommitteeAlhaji Halidu Haruna described the organizers including the female personalities as prostitutes, an NDC sympathizer, Appiah Stadium also threatened Yvonne Nelson.
Alhaji Halidu has since apologised.
The #Dumsor vigil is set to be held on May 16, 2015.
